They work well in every room and can fit nicely with your existing theme as well. Of course, it all depends on the type of vase you use and the theme that you opt for.

I love to decorate my home with crafty and clever glass vases. So, I thought I’d quickly share some of the creative ways I have filled shaped glasses to add a simple elegance to my home. Least that’s what I think!
Beachcomber Round Vase
A large round glass vase filled with drift wood collected for free from a local beach. The drift wood is gradually added in horizontal layers to create a simple but sophisticated decorative piece.
Pebble Column Vase
A tall column vase filled with anvil grey pebbles, the non-uniformity of the shapes, sizes and shades of grey coloured pebbles works well located against a white wall.
Seed Pod Flared Vase
Seeds come in all shapes, sizes, and types. There are some seeds that are so tiny, they look like dust. Other seeds, though, can be as big as a basketball! These seeds includes pods, cones and nuts . They have decent proportions including some extravagant shapes including ovoid and round shapes with complex surfaces, adding another dimension to the decorative vase. Like the beach comber vase the seeds have been added in layers – some are just one seed variety other layers are mixed in shape, texture and seed type. Simple but effective.
Glass Marble Coned Vase
A large cone-shaped vase is filled to the brim with marbles. I think the shape of the vase adds a certain je ne sais quoi to the classic marbles in a jar.
Sorry about the light reflections on each of the vases. Hopefully you can still get the gist of how filled glass vases can add a feature to your home and if inspired you will get crafty with your vases.
Don’t just leave them empty, get creative with wood, shells, sand, marbles, pebbles, seeds, beads, pulses, the choice is limitless, simply choice materials which fit with your decor or room theme. Oh, and I’d love to hear about your ideas for decorative glass vases, so do drop me a line.
